If you work with Emergency Preparedness you will respond to any public disaster. Such as Epidemic, Hurricane Clean-Up, Mass Causalities, Fire, or any Public Disaster. They run shelters which provides medical help to anyone who is in need. When a disaster hits a town they will provide mass care shelters which aren't just for sick but it's a shelter for anyone who needs. They also track anyone who comes in and out of a shelter. They also provide training to train people throughout the community so they can also be prepared. They work with community partners such as hospitals, common health centers, police department, fire department, nursing homes, and pharmacy's.

LaTisha McClendon spoke to us about the study of distribution of control of diseases. If you work with the 282 outreach you will help give control or any help in general when there is an outbreak of diseases. Two ways to help if you feel sick or not healthy make sure t0 wash your hands and if you have any symptoms make sure you quarantine yourself. Germs can travel through EVERYTHING. When you are sick wear a face mask and don't ride public transportation. Masks don't only protect yourself they also protect others. Avoid crowded spaces
