Investigating the Scene

Today, we were given a crime scene and had different roles to accomplish the crime scene. I had the role of being the lead detective which means I had to organize my group to make sure everyone was doing what they were supposed to at all times. I also had to take the initiative to ask questions and make sure we had everything we wanted tested for DNA or fingerprints.

The crime scene was at the Jamestown apartment complex, where an elderly couple lived. The elderly women had stage 4 breast cancer, and the man has stage 4 brain cancer. The people were called because the man found his wife lying on the ground dead. The Elderly women had a mask on her face, a bag over her head, and rubber bands securing the bag. The husband did not remember a single thing and he was in complete shock.

In the scene these were some of the notes we took women has a mask on with a plastic bag over her head rubber and securing the bag around her neck, fingerprint smears on face bag, had a pillow positioned under her head and a blanket draped over her, books about how to survive and how to kill yourself, bookmarked on the page with a plastic bag and rubber band , and woman fingerprints on book.
