There is no replacement for Blood. Every 3 seconds someone needs blood. 1 whole blood donation can save 3 lives

3 parts: Platelets, Red Blood Cells, and White Blood Cells

You can't donate if you got a tattoo or piercing from someone else or yourself. You can donate as long as you have not been out of the country for more than 3 months.

When you first get signed in you will answer so many questions about your past and things about your daily lives. Then you will get your finger pricked to know your blood type. Then you will be assigned to a chair and they will find a vein and then scrub your arm for 30 seconds. You will squeeze the ball while they stick you and your blood will be drawn for up to 6-12 minutes.

If men donate twice a year, they reduce the risk if having a stroke and a heart attack. After women come to the age of not having a period anymore

Warfarin and Coumadin are medicines that you are not allowed to give blood while on these two medicines.
