Eye Anatomy:

The eye sits in a socket and it is made up of 7 different bones and a couple of openings in the back of that for muscles. These 7 bones include Sphenoid, Frontal, Zygomatic, Ethmoid, Lacrimal, Maxilla, and Palatine.

6 muscles that move the eye around, Four recti and two oblique muscles.

There are the Retina, Macula, Moctic Nerve, Vitreous, Lens, Iris, Cornea, and Pupil.

To get to the retina you make little punctures in the eye and the cutter will go in about 6 or 8 times and they will cut through the eye.

You can look through a microscope or a 3d camera to look through the eye.

The surgery has only been around since around 1970

The probe in the eye takes out the scar tissue in the retina.

You can put different dyes in the eye to make it easier to be seen, often they are very hard to see so putting a dye makes it easier to see.

His average surgery time is 36 minutes, his longer surgeries take up to 45 to an hour long.
