This week, we made presentations on different platforms. I had to use FlowVella, which I found I did not like at all. It kept crashing, and I was never able to start fully.
First, Avery’s feedback on Visme highlighted several pros and cons. On the positive side, Visme offers visually appealing and creative presentations, with graphics that can move, and it’s simple to use and understand. She also mentioned that it doesn’t work well in a school setting, and the screen often moves while trying to work, which makes it frustrating to use. Given these drawbacks, Avery does not recommend Visme.
Next, Rowan’s feedback on Powtoon points out several downsides to the platform. While Powtoon offers videos and animated clips, the free version is very limited. It is also considered expensive, making it less accessible for those who want to access its full features.
Lastly, Hallie had to present using the Zoho Show. She tells us that the platform is similar to Google Slides and offers a marketing-style website with many free features, including a wide variety of themes, shapes, diagrams, and more. It is very easy to learn, and she particularly liked the themed slides the most.
The last thing we did this week was prepare a patient profile to be used to practice telehealth. My patient diagnosis is Type 1 Diabetes. This was very easy for me to plan out the symptoms because of my sister having diabetes. I was able to use her “story” and incorportate it into this project. We started working on this and walked very slow through it coming up with thorough questions to ask to try and uncover the diagnosis. We wull finish this next week but so far I have really enjoyed it.
